I'm David, a philosophy PhD student at Texas A&M.  I'm a martial artist and love all things wilderness and primitive.  I first found Slinging.org a couple of years ago, but this is my first post.  I braided several slings for friends and family, mostly according to the Apache article.  I made them from jute and leather scraps.  (A leather sewing awl is well worth the money.) I love the weapon, but I my accuracy is worth nil.

accuracy is just down to practice (and sound technique and good ammo and the right length sling etc etc lol) but mainly practice :-)

But hey if you enjoy it - so what :-)
welcome to the forum anyway.

Welcome, from the home of the wayward  Embarrassed stone in Austin . I to am still working on accuracy
...mostly tennis balls in the back yard but an occasional foray to a lake where I can use stone.

Greetings David from your neighbor to the north. I used to live in the city of crimson and cream, couldn't wait to get out of there though.........

A lot of practice is required in order to get your accuracy up to where it is passable. i wish you the best of luck sir
