Hello from Texas
Jun 24th, 2007 at 9:18pm

Good evening all,

I ran across this site during one of my many hours on edcforums.com.  I LOVE THIS SITE!  My son was standing behind me when I found it and he immediately flipped out, and said we had to make one.  So using the " Making a Simple Sling: An Illustrated Guide"  we made two.  We went outside and started slinging and I have to admit that we are hooked.  Of course neither one of us were very good, but I cannot remember when we've had this much fun.  Thanks for all of the info.  I foresee a lot of Saturday afternoons filled with slinging.

As a side note all of the guides and articles are wonderfully put together and very informative.  Thanks again.

Thanks
John

Welcome from Australia,

I think it's absolutely great that a father and son team are getting into slinging together. Unfortunately for most of us slinging is pretty much a solitary sport and this forum affords us the only contact with other slingers.

AussiePOUCHes are on the way tomorrow.

Thanks for all of the welcome.  Yes we love it.  It's raining today so we cannot sling.  Cry  But I went and grabbed some tennis balls so we'll have something to work on.

@curious_aardvark

He is 7.

C-A old friend,

I actually work 12 1/4 hr shifts 4 days on 5 off. On Wednesday I go back on day shift and will barely have time for anything other than work, commuting and sleep. And yes, have to strike as soon as they have taken the lure. Otherwise they might get away. We need all the slingers we can get, even seven year olds.

Welcome from Wyoming... seven is just the right age to start into slinging and with your father it's the best.  I was about that age when my dad introduced me to the sling and I have been fascinated by it ever since (some 55 years ago).

I hope you will find the site and the collection of slinging geeks (aka... enthusiasts) as interesting and informative as I have.

Again a big welcome    Smiley

Still, it's a big place - I've never yet seen anyone else slinging here!
