Slingfest Shirts - Rev "0" (Read 4018 times)

I think the artist did an excellent first cut at it. And as stated before this is the backside and the front will simply have the site logo over the left breast.

My understanding is they are an ancient culture which disolved into others and as such do not exist anymore... I doubt even a good geneologist who has researched all their family lines has gotten back that far and would even know let alone take offense.

Several peoples might have been philistines, nobody is sure - and none of them currently exist.

How can it be offensive to someone who 1) does not exist and
2) who's identity is pretty unclear even when they did exist.

Wiki also says in today's venacular "Philistine" is used to denote someone or something who/that is... not their words... but I read it as "infidel enemy" or mortal enemy. I think we all are at times our own worst one of those... Undecided

Realistically "owing to the evils and designs that can and will exist in the hearts of conspiring men in these the last days"... "the Philistine" does exist and is perhaps more real than any would care to admit. There are ills that plague every society, nation and culture and I believe we need more people to try to actively rid us of those ills by "Smiting the Philistine". I apologize if any of you are offended... I do not apologize for my position or the slogan and I will not change the slogan for I view it as described above and having no reference to any people or culture but refers to any enemy (insert alcohol, drugs, porn, child and spouse abuse, or whatever "floats your boat" as that enemy) which brings misery and unhappiness to people who harbor and embrace it. If you are for those things and are offended that I think they should be smitten... well.. I better quit there... I've already said more than I should... Angry
