I once tried a helicopter style throw. But the sling got out of control and wrapped itself around my arm until the pouch with the stone hit my forehead. Releasing would have been better.

a under handed wind up into the side of the leg left a giant nasty bruise. recently a stone accindently released to the side from a helicopter wind up into a large douglas fir tree then in to the corner of my shoulder talk about fire and lighting shoot though the eyes. It was a stuggle to stay on my feet. my first thought was i hand a glimpse of the pain enemy troops felt. note I did say glimpse.

I had a cousin ask if I was any good with the sling and I simply answered "I wouldn't want me shooting at me"... I think that fits in this thread...

i once was slinging into the thickly wooded woods behind my house and a stone somehow hit a tree dead center and made a beautiful arc right back to my forehead. that hurt, but it wasn't too too hard, so no real damage.

No, I don't live in a glass house.&&&&"If builders built buildings the way programmers write programs, then the first woodpecker that came along would destroy civilization."&&&&Context matters! "Nothing but net" is a BAD thing in tennis...
