I'm new to the forum and I know that you guys have probably answered this question a hundred times but was wondering if any one can post some pictures with an explanation on how to do what I think is called a Whip Stitch, I need to connect some 1/4"  braided poly chord to my leather pouch so that it stays put and dosen't fall off while I'm slinging.
I need somthing similar to the picture below.

Have a look at this:

...

I used three strings/cords. One stitched through the middle, and one stitched along/around each side, then braided all three at the end. It works real well, and hold together better than just sticking 'em through a single hole at the end.
