Use 4 strings for the pouch, for example:

Blue  Blue  White White

When you use multiple strings on your pouch, it's very hard to keep everything symetric and thus, you get those stripes which I like.

Here's a half done sling. On the right, those are the pouch strings. 2 red, 2 yellow.

I dont get it  Undecided

Are you doing weaving with four different cords at the same time? Or do you do a series of loose weaves filling in the gaps with each subsequent pass?

Like Slings..........

The Hedeby Floats, The Randers will Sink and the Dublin has the least air resitance of the three. Course the R&R ends are all hypothetical with the possible exception of the Randers. no Ends were identified as such in the excavation.

My favorite of the three is the Randers, Slingbadger like the Dublin....

Yes, It's the basic weave pattern, but instead of using one string for the pouch, I use four. You can see on the picture those four strings, to the right of the yellow bundle.

you bunch them all together and weave as one string? if theyre kept flat could that make weaving go 4 times faster?

this feller i call a bowstring sling.  its 4 strands of extra fine hemp, doubled over for 8 strands being braided as 4 pieces, round braid.

when i worked in a hefty coating of beeswax over a flame, it shrunk almost half in size, making a very thin, yet very strong, tight string with the spiraled pattern reminestint of a traditional bowstring.

Yes, that's what I do. Four strings would make you go faster I guess, it's somewhat difficut to make the strings fit perfect every time and that's how you get those random stripes.

is it my imagination or does adding more weight, i.e. whipping instead of fringe on the release end create a delay in the release? as in youll have to start releasing muich sooner or youll shots will shoot way off to the left?
