I've improved on my design somewhat, using more material for the pouch (which by default seems to make it flatter). After a brief trial run it seems to be working well
I still need to develop a way to make some rounder braids. I'm looking into 8+ strand braid tutorials.

Thanks. The pouch material is thicker as well, so hopefully it won't lose it's shape from getting wet (as I am generally slinging river stones straight out of the Mississippi). I think the reason my earlier sling ended up with such pronounced cupping is it was much thinner material, and was constantly getting wet, then drying out. It took on a more cupped shape than it started with.

Paracord is a good start but if you really want to braid an 8 strand braid is a good one. 6 strand might be good too and a little easier.
That looks like a nice upgrade though I’m sure that should be a little more forgiving especially on less than perfect ammo.

Here is a picture of this sling I made yesterday. Its kinda similar to the one from Cliff's woven paracord sling tutorial but the cords are not permanetly attached to the pouch and was made with 6 pieces of cord and 3 pieces of twine. It's not a beauty but works really well for me.
