that shouldn't bee a problem.

aussie has sent his free pouches to all continents by now, and he does it for free, so if you trade something, shipping should not be an obstacle Smiley

(i don't trabe a lot, but even I have sent things to america, asia and australia, from europe.)

cool a russian member :-)

Love the pouch style. trading works by each member not really caring what the postage costs. You decide whether something is worth trading your thing for and then you both send the items.
I've traded a heavy club to hong kong for a light sling in return. Lost out on postage that way round, but it all evens out in the end and the wood for the club didn't cost me anything :-)

Good fun. So far I've sent and received stuff from various bits of america, germany, lithuania, czech republic, holland, australia, hong kong, canada and probably somewhere else as well. :-)

Just started this stuff the other day.

These are based on a sling I purchased. Probably won't work. My first attempts. This one I made from an article here. This one was totally freehand.

Hi Guys,
Neat forum.  I don't have a photo but when I was in the Navy several of us made slings from the remains of a drag chute.  We cut lengths of the nylon webbing 3" wide X around 4 feet long.  We took a wrap around our hand and held the other end with our thumb.  We put a rock at the bottom of the loop and threw it overhand.  You could throw a rock a little smaller than a hard ball a fair distance.

I haven't thought about it until I blundered onto this site.  You have some neat slings here.  I may try using a sling again.

Hi Guys,
I am relunctant to post this photo since all of you have put a lot of time, thought, and effort into your slings, but just in case someone wants to get started right away I'll post it anyway.  Took me about an hour to make and cost about $2.50 U.S.

I can't figure out how to send the images so I guess you will have to take my word for it.

CanDo Gave me some help with the images.  I'll try again:

The leather, an old eyeglass case, $0.99 U.S.

Layout:

Completed Sling with nylon lines, $1.27

As the pouch doesn't have a pocket, it works best with heavier stones. I tried the Apache throwing technique and got fair results, except for the time I accidently hit the car.  I think I will try to make an Apache sling next.
