Nice! I was using the sling I got from you... a while ago? I now can't remember when or why i got it from you, but the asymmetric pouch releases so cleanly. It's similar to the Cthulhu sling I got from Flint Austone which also releases super cleanly.

EDIT: It was for the Abloy lock! I never did ask did you manage to crack it?

Yes!  I love that lock... I havenít picked it yet... but the internet says theyíre easy. I just need to make a custom tool for that.

I canít believe I only sent that one last year!  A lot has changed on my designs since the one I sent to you!

Dedication?† Maybe... but mostly just a lot of old couch leather cluttering up my garage Smiley

I had a lot of fun giving them away.

NOC - will you ever try a braided/woven version?

Sure. This paracord-based sling had specific design goals. One was that I wanted a low-cost sling that was fast to make and easy for anyone to use. I wanted to get them into a lot of hands quickly. The design is basically done, but the process still needs work. I probably put more than $200 into tooling up, and thereís still more tooling needed, because Iím still cutting the pouches with scissors and sewing pieces by hand right now.

It would cost at least 10-100x what I spent on my current setup to make machines and jigs for braided slings. I might be able to 3D print custom jigs to save money, for example, but braiding is way more complicated and time consuming than cutting leather and paracord.† It might be a fun challenge down the road, but Iím not ready to tackle a braided sling just yet.

Thank you.
It's not something I've done before, but I got some recycled leather on the way to give it a try on this one.

Loaded sling for launching light ammo... 30g worth of steel slingshot pellets sewn into a pocket on the back of the pouch.

I will test it tomorrow in the daylight after the leather glue cures.
