Fingerloop maybe 8 strand square braid with 2 strings per strand? The cords are hard to make out. It could be 16 and 8 strand square braid, slight tapering at the end. But I'm not completely sure about that. And no core threads?

Es ist im Grunde ein normales Fishgrat nur einfarbig , jetzt weiss ich warum man kaum/ keine einfarbigen Schlingen in den Anden findet...es ist sehr unübersichtlig & nervig zu flechten. (& kein Kern richtig)

Da man beim Fischgrad meist zweifarbig arbeitet. Also 8 die eine Farbe und 8 die andere Farbe. Arbeitet man einfarbig, markiert man 8 mit einem bändchen. hat bei mir immer gut funktioniert.a

I recently got a leather sling from Tomas (which is both beautiful and works great) but he also threw in the package this absolutely incredible leather pouch. I'm not well versed with rope craft so did my clumsy best to put some cords on it and ended up doing a somewhat messy simple braid. It's not as nice as it could be, and I'll probably redo it at a later date but for now it's functional though I did also make it obscenely long. It's really at the very edge of usability but I wanted one crazy long sling so I took the chance.

The second sling I made after I remembered using a braiding board years ago as a kid to make cords and wanted to try for a sling. I was going to do two separate cords but realised I had more than enough to do the whole sling going back to the simple braid and a single extra string for the pouch. It's worked out really well. Instead of a loop it has a longer cord to wrap round your hand. I might try the braiding board with Tomas' pouch at some point...

I haven't tested it much but managed to get a stone off with helicopter and fig 8 (Although doing fig 8 with this hurt. Might have to stick to helicopter).
