These are all the slings currently in my possession. If I were to collect all my slings, I would be going on a long road trip all over the place lol. I estimate this is only one/seventh of the actual number I have made.

part one: natural fibers

From the top left to right: Balearic made from jute, latigo cords with braintan pouch sewn with genuine sinew (made by my brother), leather/jute sling, sisal woven pouches, Tut jute, and finally a sisal Balearic.

Part two: synthetic

From top left to right:woven paracord, paracord/leather slings, rockman, Peruvian influenced, and a second rockman.

That is the state of my current collection.

Thanks for the kind words fellas.

Gonna go out on a limb and say that the pouch on the sling slingbadger has graciously shown us was braided using a gaucho style braiding and the center braiding reversed directions whenever it contacted the outer braided rim.

My thoughts anyways. Definitely a work of art.

Here are the only slings I'm not ashamed of,
a 91cm (36") ultralight single strand 2mm Polyethylene,
a 89cm (35") PE triple-braid with a replaceable cracker
a 43cm (17") triple-braid jute
...

Can't wait for it to arrive! I've been checking the post box every day. As soon as it gets here (and I actually can find the time) I'm heading straight to the field, with that giant frying pan I have for a target in hand, and testing it out Cheesy

That's pretty cool Vetryan. I hang out with a knife making group and just drew my plans for my second knife last week. Even though I spend a lot of time in the shop I only dabble in it. We basically do steel cutouts but I would love to try doing a blade from stock. My buddy just doesn't have the gear for that at this point.
Btw, if you could post or even message me  on how you make a ferro rod I would be very interested.
Good on ya for being industrious btw
