This made a smaller diameter cord than the one above, around 3.5-4mm diameter. The pouch has been sewn with a triangular shape at the ears, with a hole punched in the centre. The finger loop was originally 6 pieces of string folded over, then I decided to try weaving for the first time, and made a crudely woven loop. As this wasn't in the original plan, some of the strings crossed over each other and were difficult to weave. This one holds a tennis ball perfectly. http://i575.photobucket.com/albums/ss200/petem_01/sisalcord0.jpg http://i575.photobucket.com/albums/ss200/petem_01/sisalcord2.jpg Where did you aquire this sisal? It's much darker sisal than I've ever seen. I like it. Hi Dan, I got this in the UK in a hardware shop, in 50m rolls marked 'Sisal Cord', but I have been wondering if it really is sisal, or just mislabelled jute cord. It has that earthy smell that burlap sacks get, so it may well be jute, although it is slightly darker than the other jute cord I have. I picked it up because I hadn't realised sisal was made into thin cord.
