Heres the projectile I found, recovered from a MG range. It's by a Victorinox multitool for size comparison.

It looks like a 40mm grenade launcher training round(blue color says)I always thought how fun it would be to sling with these Grin but i think they would be so cool because they would have to land nose first to make some magic

And a third one which is my first Non-traditional sling made from hemp, bone and leather..I need to adjust it's "trigger" because it doesn't release every time  undecided Lenght from release to pouch 105cm (41") ALL OF THE SLING LENGHTS are measure from release to pouch...to me this way it's logic.

balearic style sling, jute cords. i sewed leather on it, but only where you would normally have whipping (base of pouch), rather than the half the pouch and the base. 25inches. this one too me only 45 minutes to make, and 20 minutes of that messing around with measurements.

peruvianish sling. it took me around 3 hours to make. 25 inches. cords are thin sewing hemp, and pouch is woven with jute.

the end is attached with a larks head, since the hemp wasn't too fuzzy and wouldn't make a good cracker.

mathias warped pouch. it took me 3 hours to make he pouch. sheesh, making the sling above it with an even larger pouch took just as long with braided cords. cords on this is twisted. one end is shoddy because i cut my hand and i couldn't work properly while stemming off a flow of blood.

I'd guess that non slingers wouldn't be able to understand how you could cut yourself while braiding, but most sling builders know that braiding can be dangerous work. Not a hobby for the light hearted Grin

I like the baleric. Going to try one myself.

Black and Gray Split Pouch. The scanner must be on its way out. Colors aren't showing true and there isn't any white in this sling. Acryllic wool over 8 strand hemp core; slightly tapered; 28 inches.
