Nice find JustKnot! Looks interesting, and anything with slinging in it...
Now I want to know what the original gamepieces looked like. Might as well do it right!
The parent site has all sorts of interesting things on it. "Variations on Go"

now that looks like fun. Much better than go - which is just too labarynthine for me. Too much thinking.
So the next step is to somehow get an online version linked to the website that we can hold tournaments with :-)

But I haven't tried it yet.

I think the start positions are a bit weird as you can immediately start shooting at the other player. So whoever starts wins, right?

I was wrong. You cannot move diagonal with the slings.

Ack!
"Better than Go" - impossible... The key with go is to
not
think, except in smaller chunks. Overall, you need to feel the game developing - very different from most games. Fits my way of thinking anyways (not that I'm any good)
We got a copy of "Carcassonne: Hunters and Gatherers" for Christmas, and although it doesn't specifically mention slings, it's clear that that's what the Meeple hunters are hunting with. What else would explain their ability to lie down while hunting?

"In Muighar culture, the man who owned the most yaks always had the first move"
If we did play it against each other, we'd have to use the honor system - I've got 6.

rotfl
that's brilliant.
I reckon there's bits of about 13 yaks in my sling - that has to count :-)
