Today I found a german video in the net. It's a video over Mallorca. In this video is shown in one or two scenes how an older man (called Diego) makes slings out of reed, sweet corn and a sort of cactus called "Pita". Later in the film, there are some scenes how they shoot with the slings. It also says, that slinging is there a school course.

It's a video made for children, but I found it quite interesting too.

I can see it too.  It's great!  The girl hosting the program is a real cutie! and she slings!

That's one school activity I wouldn't skip!  Howcome I didn't have slinging in P.E.?

Interesting film. Now I know what pita is: you have just to slice a cactus. 

I will show the film to my kids. Surely they would fancy slinging at school though they started it already at home.
