Cool!  We can do polls!  I think I will like this feature!

Here's some things I noticed about polls, so far:
  • The question must be expressed in no more than 60 characters.
  • The list of choices is limited to 8.
  • Each choice must be expressed in no more than 50 characters.
Oooh, and if you hit the Return key while typing the voting options, you are DONE and the poll is posted, finished or not!   Angry  Oh, well, the DELETE button worked, I don't think anybody saw my unfinished poll. Wink  That's just something I'm going to have to get used to...

Can the size of the poll list be made adjustable?  Or is it a fixed number?  For most subjects, three or four items is enough; they are being generous to allow eight. It's just that I was going to put up a poll containing about 20 items.  Maybe I should just make as many poll entries as I need, 8 items per poll...  OOOPS, that doesn't work either.  You can have only one poll in a topic, plus whatever comments people make in response to the poll.  Oh, well, the DELETE key worked again.

Thanks again, Chris, this must have been some work to set up!

Im not too fond of the new colours, my eyes have problems adjusting to the happy brightness of it.
Pretty decent though.

I prefer the colour of the old forum too.  The blue and grey look less homey.
Oddly enough, when brouseing without loging in, the forum is in the old colour! Undecided

Has anybody already found how to change the size of the letters for the whole forum while reading?
It does not react on the IE standard 'change letter size' commands.

willeke, you may be able to enlarge the text by holding down teh CTRL key while scrolling with the little scroll wheel found on some computer mice.  if you do not have a scroll wheel, then i don't know what to do.

Hold down the Control key and roll your mouse wheel?  Oh, how obvious ... NOT!!

Who decided that such an action would change the size of the displayed text?  And what was he smoking when he decided it?

ARRGH!  Sorry, I'll get off the soapbox.  I have strong feelings about user interface design, and there is just nothing intuitive about this.

But I'm glad to know it works, even if it is a very strange trick.

I've replaced the default color scheme.  Do people now only see the slinging.org color set?

YES!  The old colors are back!  Thank you, Chris!

Inertia: the resistance of a community to change ... new features, new capabilities, new things to learn, and we gripe about what color the pages are ... what odd creatures we people are.  Well, maybe I should just say what an odd creature I am.  I should not speak for everybody.

Dale,
It did work on the computer, it changed the lettersize on an other forum (the settings for all forums I think) but it did nothing here.
So I am waiting for the forum to get the old button back, at least I think it was a button in the forum rather than on my browser.

Willeke, I tried the scroll wheel thing today, and it worked even though it did not work yesterday.  Try spinning the wheel a few times, it doesn't change for the first rotation or two.  Also, I like all of the features of this new forum software, especially the file attachment.  Also, thank you very much Chris for all of your work on the forum and this website now and over the years, it is greatly appreciated.
