There was little information on the display, but they do come from a Roman fort in Scotland. Given 'glans' = 'acorn' it almost seemed like a Roman with a sense of humor. - If you could sling it properly, would it be that bad? Probably cup end first?

I've tried cap-first and point-first, it doesn't seem to make a difference. Of course, they fly best when I get a rifle-spin on them, worst when they spin sideways.
