Well then, there seems to be a whole lot of information, EVERYWHERE about slings and slinging (apparently 80 pages of threads worth). But wouldn't it sure be nice to consolidate all of that?
I'd like to launch the collection of personal slinging data. What I mean is, information about an individuals slinging characteristics. If each person has a profile of their slinging feats, perhaps we could more clearly see, useful trends. Great stuff for the Wiki... *That is to say- Let's see with what, where, and how well people sling!* Even if nothing useful becomes of it, it will  be fun and perhaps insightful to see how folks sling.

Now then, shall we try to keep this semiformal? Per post, include as much of the following. I know that some information may be unknown, but the more that we do know, the more clear a picture we can make of the art/hobby of slinging:

• Sling Length (folded)
• Sling Material and Design (pouch style, braid pattern, etc.)
• Style of Cast
• Ammunition material, shape, and weight (e.g. teardrop, lead, 4oz)
• What target is
• Range to your target
• Number of hits out of misses (e.g. 9/10) Remember, the higher the total number, the better, because this yields better data, (thus, don't simplify 300/500 down to 3/5 since the former is more statistically significant.)
• Consistent Max Range
• All time Max Range
• How long, and how often you've been slinging

Now, I know that I don't just use one type of each of the following, or I'd get bored quickly. It is however important to not mix and match..... "I sling grape fruits, I sling 450 yds....." Both may be true, but are irrelevant to one another.-That won't tell us anything about cause and effect. So, if you want to enter the data for different styles/types of slings/ whatever, that's quite awesome, so long as they don't get confused

If we get enough information, we (I) may be able to compile it into some sort of graphical format (or at least a table).
I personally, won't be able to put any #'s in soon since I haven't had a chance to sling for weeks, and probably won't for many more weeks

About 25 -40 meters but can be longer.

Consistent Max Range 35 - 50 meters

Max Range is about 200 meters (No accuracy here at all.)

Have been slinging for about a year and a half.

-84 cm

-hemp, braided (8 strand), woven split pouch

-underhand variant, figure 8 variant, helicopter variant

-whatever stones are available, mostly irregular stuff (~60 grams maybe)

-range varies from 15-100+m

-~5/10 hitting a one meter diameter tree at 15m distance when concentrating on going for accuracy (not max power)

-consistent max range is around 150-200m

-all time max is around 230-250m with 4 oz. lead sinker

-been slinging for a couple months and usually get in a couple handfulls of stones each day.  Sometimes a lot more though.

Years slinging...... 19 on/off last two consistantly

sling length...... 16 to 24 inches never longer

cord materials...... anything from nylon,cotton,paracord,but prefer braide hemp

pouch material...... all leather lately, elongated diamond shaped about 8 inches long when open.

sling styles...... overhand variant, underhand sidearm blend, apache

accuracy...... 2 foot by 2 foot target at 40 yards, 3 out of 10 hits

consistant max range...... about 90 yards

ultimate max range...... 150 yards

ammo...... golfball size stones

Sling Length: got 3: 55cm, 70cm, 90-120cm (this is 120cm sling but I usually use only 90 of it)
Sling Material and Design: one that is made myself is nylon braid of 4 strands with doubled 3 strand woven [Turks Head weave] split puoch, other are Kold's and Demagogs slings
Style of Cast: various, usually quiet personalised overhead (short sling). I like prouette, underhand and greek horizontal with long one
Ammunition material, shape, and weight: stones 60-500g (those above 200 usually cast with pirouette and 120cm sling)
What target is: tree or bush ~ 1m wide
Range to your target: ~20m
Number of hits out of misses: 6/10 small sling, miss with long (at least not by much...)
Consistent Max Range: short/medium/long 100/200/200+ (had only a few chances to measure longer distances than 200m)
All time Max Range: ~250m, maybe some more...
How long, and how often you've been slinging: slinging since the end of july, at least an hour a week

# Number of hits out of misses - 1/100
# Consistent Max Range - 40-80 meters
# All time Max Range - A little less than 100 meters
# How long, and how often you've been slinging - Less than a week, i sling everytime i find a nice rock.
