well here you go nightweave.  i am working on one now, and will post the ones i get done here so you can find them.

i realize that my tracings are by far inferior to johnny's job with the fig 8, and i apologize for the disservice done to tint's form.

well...

Hi Siguy,

Just had a look at the drawings. I am not going to complain about your skill, mine would have been stick figures, and you did a pretty good job anyway.

What would ask though is more frames, if you have a look a how Johnny did his you can see where the sling is and the body movement, with out the need for arrows and such.... So what I am saying is extra frames.... If you can not get them with the video Tint has done sofar maybe we can wait till he has fonr the seperated oned and go from there. Keep up the good work Siguy.

Johnny if your out there some helpful pointers would be nice.

In fact anyone who wants to help out?

yeah tint that's my job!  Grin

nightweave, it will probably be better to wait for tint to seperate them out etc, but i had some time to kill and i thought i should get working.  the method i used to make that was to take a 'screen cap' of the video when i thought a major movement was taking place, and this was hard to time correctly, that is mainly why the drawing did not come out so hot.  but anyways, after i took the 'caps', i put them together in the sequence you see in photoshop, printed it out, and layed it on my light table and traced it by hand.  unfortunately, the quality of youtube videos is not so premium, (and because of the amazing speed of tint's sling) i could barely see where the sling was, and it was sortof hard to see the precise movements, so i had to sort of guess in some spots.

thanks for the kind words though.  i will keep working on it.  to tell you the truth, this was really just a warm up to see what i had to put into it, and figure out about how long it would take me to do a style.

Gee Siguy if this is a prelim I am going to look forward to the completed works.

Yeah flash files are really bad for doing anything but watching. Though I do love that film it's cool.

you know it is funny, the first several styles depicted i thought he was demonstrating a two sling style because it would look like he was swinging two slings around, but then he would release and grab the sling, and it would just be one.  that really confused me for a bit.   Grin

oh and i am sorry for my boastful sounding posting, it is just that i don't want to have you fellows under estimate me because of my being conservative or anything with my comments

Ask not what you can do for your sling... But what your sling can do to an armored knight on horseback at over 50 yards! Shocked

Rule one: Never under estimate anyone.

Rule two: Never under estimate yourself.

Rule three: Never under estimate how sneaky life really can be.

Apart from that Siguy keep up the great work.

Siguy,

You do know Tint is doing a slinging novel. He started out making it a graphic novel maybe you could help him make it a graphic novel again.
