In an effort to boost the comprehensiveness of the site, tap into the amazing number of intelligent people on the forum, and involve people in the process, slinging.org will be giving away free stickers and slings for written contributions.
Specifically, you will need to produce a well written article on a new topic (or new spin at least). It should be no less than 300 words, but there are always exceptions, so email me if you are concerned. Pictures are great. These articles can be on any sling-related topic. Let me know what you’re writing about ahead of time though. To give you some ideas, it could be reviewing some historical aspect of the sling, a modern group that uses the sling, how to use a sling, how to make projectiles, how to make a sling, different kinds of slings, sling-related archeological sites, sling-related battles.... you name it. In return you’ll get a
limited edition slinging.org ‘Slinging Rocks!” sticker, seen below, or a sling. Your choice.
This is a great opportunity to contribute to the site and to the limited information about the sling. You might not realize it, but the articles on this site have helped thousands of people. Just last month, October, 519 people read my article on how to make a sling. That’s 17+ people a day, which is pretty significant if you consider the number of people interested in slings. 471 read Dan Bollinger's article on how to make a braided sling. 381 read David Taylor's “Slinging styles”. 300 read “Slinging advice for beginners” by Bill Blohm. The list goes on and on and on. These articles are vital to new people coming to the sport, and you can have your name on one of them.
