Do your friends sling?

I know six people who have at least tried slinging a few times, and two of them are about as active as I am currently, some of them are more interested in bows as of late. There aren't a whole lot of us currently, but thoughts of the possibility of more organised activity have been floating around. So I was thinking whether or not a lot of people here have friends who are slingers too?

Reply #1 - Aug 19^th, 2006 at 9:52am i have one freind that slings often. i gave him a couple of slings as a trade for a spear blade, so he has three i think, and his little brother slings sometimes as well. oh and my grandpa used to sling, but not anymore. that's it really

I think it is important to get people at leas to become aware of how cool this slinging stuff really is. Keep telling people and giving away slings so everyone will have friends that sling.

One of my friends tried when we canoed to a deserted island once but she almost took off a few heads with wayward stones.

you should know better than ask Bjärn a question like that. But it sounds like we are lucky she survived the experience to tell us about it.

I know a few friends of mine do sling, and I may even have mentioned it enough to people I meet on the knotchat that they feel they have to try, but around where I live I do not know anyone who slings.
That is live nowadays, friends all around to world, but only a few you ever meet face to face.

Ahem....... I have often wondered about this. This method of communication, interesting though it is, does induce a certain amount of distortion ( as do all methods of communication. ) It is not entirely clear what would happen if we all met face to face.......but,.......since everyone here is armed.......
