Hello all, new to the forums here...
I slung? (Slang? Slinged? Slong!) Whatever... For quite a while, but was out of it for the past year or so... But I figured joining the forums here would be a good way to get back into it!

Welcome Ethan!

Glad to know that I am not the only one confused about the tenses of "sling" as a verb.

Are there actual rules?  or is it something we can make up ourselves?

I think I usually use sling slang slung.

Mr. Google finds sites which indicate the tenses are:
sling slung slung
the other verbs I use while slinging are:
cast cast cast & throw threw thrown

irregular verbs for an irregular sport
Hmmmmm! Grin

Hello new member here and possibly soon to be a sling user.  I tend to be interested in the use of any muscle powered weapon and while I have known about slings I have not tried one yet.  I'll try braiding one up shortly   Smiley

Hello all, I am very interested in slinging and have been for quite some time but I know very little about it other then the basics. I would appreciate all the help that I can get. I am slingless at this present time but I am hoping to rectify that so that I can start practicing. Thanks

well it's september = is that enough notice :-)

pm gunsonwheels for detailed details
also more details here:- http://slinging.org/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1181851460
And several other threads in the General area.
Search for slingfest and you should come up with loads of info/discussion.

so what's a cajun doing in wyoming ?

Quickest way to get a good working sling is to pm aussieslinger your address and within a week you'll have a thoroughly versatile and hardwearing aussie pouch. Just attach cords and go sling :-)

hi everybody!!

posted twice before on this forum, couldnīt find the introduction area:-)

My name is Stig and I am from Norway.
Always loved old school weaponry, specially missile weapons.have a gun,but rarely touch it..Old weapons are much more interesting.

I have a English longbow and a crossbow and suddenly realized I had never tried a sling before!Made one a week ago,and havenīt even touched bow/crossbow since, completely hooked now. For some reason the sling appeals more to me than the bow/crossbow,perhaps because of the amount of skill required to do it well(yeah I know the longbow is hard to master, and I am nowhere near mastering it,but is much easier to learn than slinging:-)

Great to see there are other slinging enthusiasts out there, got to love the internet Grin
