sculptures
Jun 15th, 2006 at 5:10pm

here are some pics of sculptures that i thought you guys might appreciate, seeing as how they have to do with slining.

the pictures are a little blury, but you can still see what is going on.

these two are wire;
...

...

this one is plaster with a braided sling;
...
...

it is titled something like "slinging the troubles of the world away", the little cube is apparently supposed to symbolize pandora's box.
the sling looks a little short, but at least it is accurately depicted.

ps:  sorry, but i can't get the pictures to stay rotated for some reason.  oh well.

Creative!  I particulary like the middle one.....as it portrays intense spinning motion.  It seems something of a human tornado readying a blistering release!

I would love to see that animated!

The Pandora's box creation is certainly intriguing as well....

Cool! Who made those? I would be interested in knowing the name of the artist. Not too many that work in the medium of slings!

I motion for them to go into the gallaries, esp if you can get a better picture of the second one.

Great work.

The first one is nice it took me a second to realize exactly what was going on though first. But the 2nd one was deffinately the best 'picture' of a slinger

Ask not what you can do for your sling... But what your sling can do to an armored knight on horseback at over 50 yards! Shocked

Or maybe etch a crack in the world and entitle it:

"The world's butt in a sling."

I'd be delighted to be your first customer!
