Leather can be hard to get sometimes, SO..

Has anyone tried making slingpouch out of sailcloth? I have An old sail, which is about 12m x 5m or so.. Would make quite many slingpouches...

It is strong, doesnt stretch.. etc..

Hi Antti.Your sailcloth is probably dacron or nylon which
is quite strong but can deteriorate over time from exposure to sunlight. It still should be good for making slings though. I have seen some neat bags and even jackets made from old sails. Good luck, let us know how they work.

you could make a few slings from that probably, just remember to hem the edges or melt them or else your sling will fall apart in your hands after a couple tosses.

you could proabbly make a nice ammo bag or ten out of that too.
