Fishing Rod

I was wondering if any of guys know a way to make your own fishing rod that you carring in a backpack or pocket i already have one but was wondering is there a way to make a more portable one.

so a take down fishing rod?
small enough for your pocket?

you can take one of those come-apart tent poles with the elastic cord in them to hold them together once you want them to be that way.  you could rig one of these into a fishing pole that folds up.

You could use sections of arrows (held together by a section of the next size up arrow) for light fishing....

That's just what came to mind.

Or forget the rod and just use a hand-line.

You used to beable to buy (probably still can) a collapsible fishing rod.  If I remember correctly they were only around $35 at the time.

I bought a telescopic fishing rod for £10 a few months back but i haven't had a chance to use it yet.

I would just carry the rope and hooks on you and cut a cane when you get there.
