thats one way of havinga blast with a microwave your going to het rid of anyway right ^^ offcourse there no way to make absolutely sure it would blow like this right what if the paperclip ends don't touch ? how about pytting in a can of lighter fluid rapped in tinfoil :p that should work Grin

ive seen it work. you unplug the microwave (so the gunpowder doesn't accidently go off) and place the package on the microwave table, turn the table and adjust the package to contact with the solderd paperclip when it comes around. simple Wink

You are an adult, and I asume you can asses the risks involved.
But some of our readers are much younger.

On top of that are we European and are used to the system where everybody is responsible for themselfs.
In the American system people sue even if it is plain that they were stupid, and sometimes the judge agree with them because there was not written they should not do it.

So every now and again we add the "Do not do this" message to a thread.

kinda disagree with you there Willeke.. this is the reason in america we have the 1st amendment to our constitution. The freedom of free speech... Just because on this site it is said that people have tried this (even if it was encouraging ppl to try something stupid like this.. which it isnt) doesnt make it a lawful defense for a civil lawsuit.

any compeitent lawyer would just point out that it is protected under the first amendment and the issue would be resolved

i do however agree for the need of a "DO NOT ATTEMPT" posting because as you have said, there are younger more naive slingers on this forum that might try it just because... So plz ppl.. dont try it

but in america that notion that every1 "isnt responsible" for their actions is widely misunderstood and blown out of proportion in Europe as well as most other places. Every1 most certainly is held responsible for their actions and this forum (as well as anyother one) shouldnt fear a civil lawsuit because of it.
