Here is a premium, finalized model, all around sling. It's design is largely inspired from a more robust, mechanical model and is intended to exploit modern cordage materials while eliminating grip slippage and hand gouging concerns.

Employing the split pocket design, it is optimized for gripping medium to large sized ammo.   And will reliably sling rocks as small as 2oz. up to and including potato sized ammo, all while neatly fitting in a shirt pocket or even clip to your hat.... 8)


The one shown is made of some of the finest Gabon Ebony, including a spring steel pocket clip for easy storage or deployment, and is hard to lose if the clip is used.

Ebony is, thus far, the hardest wood I've worked and is an excellent sling grip material.

The cords are 200lb. test Dacron....the pocket is made of 8oz. leather for durability.

Brass swivels are used for pocket interchangability and to help avoid tangling cords.

All in all, it is one of the better slings I've ever produced....

If one doesn't count highly specialized prototypical versions....

33 inches from center pocket to pinch point....just right for my stature when employing both the elbow wrap overhand for accuracy or the figure 8 overhand casts.

Thanks Unsapien.....The swivels are attatched via an adaptation of the Spanish Bowline. 

If enough demand is ever created,  I hope to put one of my prototypes into production that employs a simple slide lever for durable, silk smooth release which allows for one side of the pocket to open, dumping rock ammo without ever contacting the release cord.

It'll make it's dubious debut on the DVD.  Along with a few even stranger siblings......including the black sheep of the family.....and also an unofficial spanking of the current world record which will be shot in it's entirety, and undedited.

For the purist, it will be shown to make use of both 'cheating hands' and 'cheating glandes'.
