Sling Ammo?

What good ammo would be good for a 6in pouch and a 4in pouch? Most things that I try to sling are either too light, too small, or too big.

Ask not what you can do for your sling... But what your sling can do to an armored knight on horseback at over 50 yards!

If all man made objects fail, try some pebbles

Edit.
Or make some woman made clay glandes.

I definately advocate some baked flour balls (there is a post not to long ago about them) or some baked clay glandes. you can size them to whatever you want and have very consistent ammo all of the time!

Never underestimate the golf ball taped around with lead tennis tape!

I dont exactly know what that is.... but golf balls are a perfect weight and size for my sling. Those are my favorites. Also i like to use flat rocks and fling them low over a lake.... its very difficult but i can skip rocks with my sling

tennis tape is used to wrap tennis racquet handles to make them heavier and get better grip, iirc. Been many years since my rear ever saw a tennis court up close.

i don't recommend tennis balls for non-split pouch slings, as they are too light and tend to fall out.
Where I live, rocks are the most readily available ammo. Ones bigger than a golfball and smaller than a tennis ball work best.

Well my sling pouches are all split. And I will try tennis balls soon...after I find them. My brother hid them somewhere.

I totally love golf balls, just as they are, for practice ammo. As for real ammo I will always love the golf ball sized stones, but since I live right next to a river I guess I have better access to them.

A note on tennis balls,
I use them when slinging out in public when alot of people are afoot. Regular tennis balls won't go anywhere, but If you use a 18 gauge needle to inject them with water, you have a relatively safe heavy projectile that is very consistant. It also gives the allusion of safety to those around you.

Note how he doesnt say it is safe... but it gives the 'Illusion' of safety.... Would you like to tell the class what you mean by that?
