You can find braided slings on ebay. You can contrbute 10 dollars to this sight and get one.

That is a good magazine. I Buy it just about everytime i see it. They had a sling article in it that got me into sling several years ago.

Wow. Thats alot of places. Well I'm mainly wondering where to get leather now....And what did the ancient slingers use to make their slings?

if you go down to a local art center, dik blik, michaels, etc. (only U.S. though). but i'm sure they would have nice scraps of leather at any artstore worlwide.

Another good place to get leather, is any place that makes leather goods.  I just walked in to one place, they make leather stuff for motorcycle people, and they let me root around in their trash barrels and carry away all the scraps I wanted, for free!

Early people actually braided their slings out of grass or other plant fiber, so no excuse for not having materials. Wink
