He we are again it's Olympic time. Have you noticed the way the Olympics have been getting a little diluted. Diluted with "sports" that are only seen during this time, and sports heavily drenched in commercialism. I get that the Olympics are about the friendly competion between countries, but what about the old school games that are getting less and less attention. And why is the sling not listed with the discus, shotput, javeline, hammerthrow. They were all used together in the early days, they need slings in the Olympics.

Its true about the commercialism. When I lived in Scotland ( where men are men, and the women are men) I had the privelege of wathcing the Argyll games, the largest Highland games in the world.
The competitors did it for the love of the game. They encouraged each other on, and afterwards, bought each other pints at the local pub.
They are the true sportsmen.

The greatest of all the accomplishments of 20th cent. science has been the discovery of human ignorance The main difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has it's limits.-Einstein I'm getting psychic as I get older. Or is that psychotic?
