Slinging vs. Golf

Having just made some progress in controlling my Magnus Slinging courtesy of a nice bag of used golf balls, Sling vs. Golf comparisons come to mind.
Golf looks like the perfect setup for frustration to me. I can't say that I have spent any of the tons of time or money it would take to become proficient.
The flight of a golf ball is beautiful and golfer can get a good backspin easily. But having to get the ball in a hole somebody else set up is a drag. I explain to my incredulous golfer friends why I'm off to throw a bucket of rocks:
Slingers get to choose (in a general and flexible way) where we put the holes.
What do you think?

Not to mention from an economic standpoint, slings are way cheaper. No fancy clothes, no green fees, clubs.
Hmmmm... designer slinging clothes... theirs money to be made there! Gloves, hats, little bags to carry the slings in...

You can make a fortune making design slings.
New, the first ever, special,
only $3000!
Costume made slings, only $5000 each!

In defense of golf, slinging doesn't have a standardized set of silly clothes. So when it comes to sharp dressing golf still has an advantage.
