Hi everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm living in Florida right now, but I'm originally from Costa Rica. A very rural part of the counrty to be exact. Well, ok, the jungle.

I've always been interested in history and especially the military aspects of it. Eventually, I got into archaic weopons. I tried slinging once when I was 14 or so and... needless to say... I wasn't very successful. I became discouraged and didn't try it again for a while.

Until, I stumbled upon this website and I rediscovered slinging. Through the articles and this forum I've learned a lot about making slings and, most importantly, the proper way to sling. I'm still experimenting with the styles shown here and trying to find what is most comfortable to me, but at least now I have the basic knowledge.

I will countinue to learn from the info I find here and hopefully I can also repay the favor and share with you some of what I know or discover.

I'm fairly new myself and have improved a lot in the past couple weeks. If you have any questions that you cant find answers to easily, just ask.
