I made a Assyrian slinger style sling. Complete with the wrist loop and i like the add stability. Also i enjoy the ease of switching grips. just pass the retion cord though a differnt set of fingers Sweet

Hai
I use(d) slings like this. Only trouble I had was with the long release cord, if you "make" the sling shorter. How about you?
Is this sling with the very long release cord like in the assyrian art? Any ideas why it would be so long?
Question was asked before in the assyrian-slinger-post but no deffinite answers yet.

Hi how does this fair with the problem of cords twisting when in action. When you turn it about your head i find it tends to twist if the cords are not held closer.

SEB I find no real dificulting in the longer release Once I got used to itI like it when using rapid fire more to grab quickly
Rodders I find the thicker cords dont twist. But then I dont use the helecopter style

Maybe me hab=ving trouble with the long release cord had something to do with the "not so flexible"leather I used then.

I discovered another thing about wrist loops
they make your sling ajustable just wrap the retention line
around your whist to the desired length the choke up on th release cord a wala a ajustable sling

Interesting..
I think I'm going to try that. I'm using water ballons, so I bet that would make slingin that heavy weight alot simpler.
Keep us updated please..
