Great work, SEB!  & Hallo, Natural!

@ SEB, guess you could say your slings have a lot of sole in them.  Wink

I really like the leather cradle.  I have a hard time slinging lead egg sinkers with the split pouch versions...talk about slipping through the cracks.

"Yikes!  Watch out!  Sorry!  Are you alright?"
"I'm Ok, really.  No blood, no foul."
"Are you sure? ...thats a nasty lookin' goose-egg on your noggin there."

The solid leather pouch, however, it'll hold anything.

HI

Ok I found an half animated tutorial here

http://www.animatedknots.com/splice/

it's a good site, and better than this I could not explain it.
good luck,

Sander

why is it a no-knot sling - isn't it just string knotted together to make a sling ?

Which opens up the whole when is a knot not a knot debate. ie: when does it stop being braiding and start being knotting/weaving/netting etc.

As knottyers we do include the splices in the knots, as multi-strand bends, but that is theory not practice.
In practice a bend is a bend and a splice is a different thing.

umm so is it a knotted sling or what :-)

Actually I suppose it could be a strangely shaped piece of rope. I'll buy that :-)
