As far as I am concerned, I would say still March 18, still Antwerp.
I have not heard anybody asking for a different date or place, yet.

kaay as long as i'm sure here  Grin

so really now who's coming cause its only like 2 more month's away Shocked we need bookings here (and if there's like more than 20 people i might wanne go for an other slingspot hunt the one i got is like now ways big enough for 20 people :/ its like a straight slab of concrete of round 50 to 100 m long i estimate(mind i aint to good at that might be longer i tend do underestimate distance) but i'm pretty sure its like only a good 5m to 8m wide (not really wide is it) ow btw it looks out to water so we won't really be in danger of hitting any thing exept maybe the odd seagull or boat passing by Grin

Is there any camping spot next to the slinging place?

Knowing the temperatures in Belgium in March I am afraid that for most people camping will not be a good option. I myself am going to use the YHA hostel, somewere in central Antwerp.

But I am not local to the town and maybe Taiki, who is local, can give you a better answer.

Think about just freezing for a normal cold night, and about 10 C for a nice warm afternoon. But if we have a long cold spell it can be minus 10 C in the night and just above freezing in the afternoon. Not cold for many of you guys and girls, but for someone from Spain, (Zorrro ask about camping) cold enough to reconsider sleeping outside.

well sorry bout that i am a local but i eeuhm have no idea for hotels  Undecided like i live here i don't have to find a hotel  Grin

also camping won't be a very good idea since the spot i had picked is really strech of concrete near a street twards de schelde... and the idea was to maybe chuck rocks into the stream but there are a few nice places not so far away that are bigger and might make it possible to play some games  Grin

It is time to make the real plans.

We have the date, Saturday March 18th.
The meeting place, Antwerp Central Railway station.
Time, lets say 1 pm, in other words, 1300 hours.
Place to sling, less than 15 minutes by public transport from the meeting place.
A proposed dinner, unless we have many people coming we can decide on the day where we eat.

What we need now is people who commit themselfs to come.
A bucket of rocks, the proposed slinging places do not contain much in ammo.

I think that a PM for entryform will do well, then you get in return a PM with where in the station we will meet and how to recognice us. And maybe a mobile phonenumber too.
So state your name, (nick and/or real name), if you are likely to stay for dinner and how likely it is you will come in a PM and send it to me.

If there are not enough takers we might change the date or even cancel.
So if you are interested, let us know.
Even if there is a change you have to cancel.

hehe, I remember how cold Scotland was (even in June), and I'm guessing Belgium in March must be donwright arctic. March where I live for all intents and purposes is still part of the cold winter months; and probably not nearly as cold as Belgium.
Belgium is a lot further south.  In fact, Belgium is balmy, sunny and humid compared to Scotland, at any time of the year.  It's about as cold as where I live in England.  The problem with Belgium naturally is north sea winds - being most very flat, wind can just roll across.  It's certainly bracing.  Anyway, sounds like fun.

If you do not want to send me a PM, you can still post here that you are coming. But if the numbers stay as overwhelming as they are now, there will be no slingmeet in Antwerp. Till now I only got a PM from Taiki, who is our Local Person.

So, if you want to come, let us know.
If the date is a problem say so, we can still move the date.
