The Slinging Ballad of MammotHunter (Sung to tune of "Captain Kidd") Well, I am a slinging man, as I sling, so I slung O' I am a slinging man, as I slung I am a slinger man, and I sling where'vr I can And most anywhere I can I have slung
My friends they were afraid When I learned myself to braid Oh, most wicked slings I made with to sling I 've my sling in my hand and I'm armed with a glande And I toss it far o'er the land As I sling!
(chorus)
I've slung a hundred yards or more I've let loose the slinger's roar Oh most wicked things I've done As I slung And being stronger still, the brickstones I did drill For the mighty walls to kill As I slung
(chorus)
I would sling nigh to my death Lose a stone with my last breath To walk a stone lined path As I sling But my blood it did run hot and large rock I did shot and into a parking lot I have slung (chorus)
So take a warning here and heed And sling not wickedly Or you'll wind up just like me as I slung For my simple errant rock My head's on the chopping block And the laws no more I'll mock as I slung
Oh a slinging life I lead, as I sling (chorus 2 X's)
So, there you have it. MammotHunter/Jack's slinging ballad, in its entirety. It's based on a near miss I had when a rock I slung narrowly, and we're talking by a few feet here, missed a crowded parking lot near a beach when the stone went behind me. After the incident, my friends and I were discussing what would have happened had the stone been released just a little later.
