I don't pick locks, I just make a hole around the lock and unlock it by reaching around or just taking the whole assembly out. Not too subtle Sad

I have one of the old Dremel handhelds and now, it's about come to the time in its life where it needs a replacement battery pack, and no place carries them anymore. It's one of the 7.2 volt dremel handhelds, and it's worked many a primitive weapon with me, so I hate to get rid of it. One guy at a hardware store tried to tell me that the Craftsman battery pack was the same thing, and it didn't fit at all. Any suggestions?

ah the nog...I must of drank two gallons of the home made stuff.  Smiley

can you take the battery off of the dremel then run wires to a diffrent typ of battery, then control the charge with one of those thingeys? not as protable but it might work.

Ok, I got:
Money
Clamps (You can never have enough clamps)
DVDs (Larry the Cable Guy, Die Hard 1 & 2, Meet the Fockers)
Star Trek Christmas tree ornaments
flannel "lounge wear"  (I guess they are pj bottoms but I don't wear them to bed...too hot)
Books (How to make whips, Encyclopedia of rawhide and leather braiding)
Assorted other stuff like chocolate, pistachos, trail mix, etc.

Oh and my Christmas gift to myself is Randy McDaniels' Blacksmithing DVDs (still waiting for it to arrive)

I have to say again those LEGO vikings ROCK!!!  I would keep them on my desk at work to scare off anyone wanting to mess with my stuff.

Maybe would keep the Boss away too.

You should be able to crack the two batteries open (probably literally crack, they are too often glued/welded shut) and swap the cells out. Almost guaranteed they are bundled nicads. No controllers/fancy circuitry required. This is a pretty common thing to do with old packs - I normally just crack one open and then go looking for the cheapest cells that will fit, even when replacement packs _are_ available. Big difference between paying 60$ for some "custom" battery and 6$ for a lifetime supply of replacement rechargeables...
