Battle axe
Nov 24th, 2005 at 8:19am

I finally bought the cold steel battle axe. I was going to buy it for 50 dollars but the other day they sent me their sale paper and have new one for 25 dollars. Could wait any longer. Know i can't wait until it comes in so i can play with it.  Grin

heard good things about them, nice durable axe for the price, have heard that the edges may need a bit of work out of the box but that may not be true, some people want a razor edge on everything.

I have a couple of axes,a hanwei bearded ( which most people consider way to heavy but I love) a darksword armoury bearded that I picked up off ebay( not worth the $30 I paid for it but salvagible  if I ever have the time) a deepeeka roman axe (forget the real name not bad but really needs a new haft) and a couple of hand axes...I happen to love axes almost as much as I do swords.

You might want to check out www.888knivesrus.com its a small buisness and once and a while you can pick up a good deal.

Also if you like axes check out  www.axeforum.com
A nice friendly forum that covers more than axes.

My fave axe is the kind that has a long but 1-handed handle and a kinda small head, and I would use that with a nice shield. Franciscas are neat too.

me and my cold steel battle axe, and jas. townsend, french throwing axes.

i love axes too, and even more so if they are hawks, i like the
Franciscas so much i got two! Smiley

a little tip the the cs b-axe. Langets are nice, and so are wedges. but if you add them together you get a axe with no wiggles or jiggles Smiley it comes out of the box sharp.
