She was probably one of those McPhearsons. Anyway I have been playing the pipes since I was 14.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

All the pipes exept the melody pipe was made so it didn't come any air out of them, so all my air was used on only the melody pipe! Anyway I didn't get much of a sound out of the last pipe!
I did get to play though, some days later I visited a fiddler I met in Norway on a folk music festival, and her husband played Highland pipes and Smallpipes. Smallpipes is, as you wouldn't guess, smaller, and they have a pump which you have under you right arm, istead of blowing into the pipe. I managed to play on that, it's just the same fingering on Smallpipe as Great Highlang Bagpipe.

Now, I'm just 12 years old, so that girl wasn't SO strong... Grin
