best dart ever,

50 cal to 75 cal is the best bore

2 feet minimum or 10 feet max for pipe length. NOTE you can have 12 feet long blowguns if your material can hold the weight

use a water bottle as a mouth pice

questions? jsut ask

Ah those hunting darts are built basically the same way as mine, except i use a shorter piece of dowel and only one scalpel blade broken off near the base to resemble a broad head, plus i sharpen the blunt end to gives it better cutting power. Works well on rabbits, in my opinion better then my bow! Though most of the time they break after one kill, mainly because the split i glue the blade into cracks.

I was going to post some pictures but it seems i have misplaced my camera.....

take some tape and tape up the crack behind the head. i personally use some of this plastic twine that's colored to whip it in place. and, make sure the dowel it self is sharp. if you find dowels not the best then use a skewer. that's what i use anyways

Thanks xxkid i didn't even think of using something as simple as twine or tape. I always try to come up with a complex solution  undecided

you want a complex solution? go to your dentist and get the stuff that they use as teeth molds. it's usually is 2 chemicals that are then mixed together, it solidifies in a short while, the dried stuff is like rubber

o yea, if you have a metal pipe or something use cones or A LOT of yarn. if you want davidm's style of dart you would need a wooden pipe for better power

My friend and I made ours out of 2-feet long 1/2 inch rigid steel pipe. If we missed, we could always club something with it.

Darts were matches with sewing needles in one end, and foam rubber on the other, lashed into place with string and white glue. I saw a buddy (a former tuba player, which helped, I think) bury one 3/4 of an inch into a piece of pine. It took pliers to get it out.
