Yes! I would like to live in a tree hut 100 feet off the ground. Trees are neat. In forests, there always seems like there is something to do.

Speaking of magic, wiccans, and things that annoy me...

Vegan wiccans who promote being in touch with nature, then get all emotional and indignant when you mention hunting as a way of gaining food.

Wiccans in general tend to be slight hypocrits, but it is to be expected, the religion has gone from a set of well thought out rules and guidelines to a "make your own mish mash" kind of thing.

Thats exactly what theyre like, and at least half of them act like theyre superior to everyone else while claiming to be for equal religious rights and blah di blah.

I am happy just to call myself "hedniskhjärtad" which is "paganhearted" in swedish and leave it at that. I am human and part of the earth, thus I follow the primal instincts of humanity, to live off of and honour the land you stand on. Nothing high and mighty, I am no more and no less than the soil beneath my feet or the buck standing in front of me.

Also, Cruachan is an awesome band!

They are indeed, I like the song "Viking Slayer".

I find most Wiccans will declare their paganism to have outrage at anyone questioning it. Kinda funny, and totally attention seeking.
I am not against Gardenian Wiccans, as they tend to be more down to earth.

Usually I just meet people that see because Im pagan that they can rant about how theyre wiccan to me and no one understands how amazing they are and how much they hate the burning times and crap.

My only thought is "reality check, most people accused and tried as witches by the Inquisition were christians my deluded friend..."

When most people think Pagan they instantly think "esoteric ritual".
And most pagans will be the first to point out that Christianity has no "Magic" in it at all.
Well, I'd consider mass to be an extremely ceremonial invocation of Christ, at least as meaningful as any "pagan" ritual.
What most people don't know is that before modern times the Clergy had control over most serious alchemical texts and other occult tomes, and most "High" forms of ceremony and ritual are derided, at least slightly, from Christian belief.
Of course, given the time period, most of the texts use fear of Demons as a way of getting results.

I hope you didn't take my comment about Christians and the Inquisition negatively, it wasn't meant to be so.
But negative comments about wicca is just general experience, Im not saying ALL are like that. I was once one, but not anymore.

Other than that, I don't see anything negative being said about Christianity. I am assuming you're Christian but I cannot see anything about the faith being put down....
Unless of course you are the wiccan one, which is misleading because of the avatar and your tendency to lean toward Christianity in the comment.

Please explain?

And Matt, I think magic is completely mundane, its part of everyday life and in my personal opinion, I would consider things like music and cough medicine magic. There's nothing fancy pancy about it.
