I think there are too many inventions in too short a time.
The development of any weapon or tool took more than one livetime as far as I know and the next invention could be a lot of generations later, not just a few years.

But I still like the books.

Willeke and tint, thank you for your welcome. Between Geocaching and Slinging, I will be reading this forum often and posting on occasion. I watched the movies yesterday and must say that tint's rapid throw style is nothing short of poetry in motion! You can be sure that my new "20 step braided sling" (thanks to Jeff Holt) and all those "Fifth-second bullets" (thanks to Mark Findlay) will be getting alot of use this week.
