hmm that was weird. oh well lets try it again
this weapon is a weird cross between a bow a atatla and a sling staff. the stick is flexable my is actuly fiberglass the arrow/dart has a knotch in it for the not on end of the cord you pull the arrow back bending the spring pole thing release with the snap of the wrist. inside of fity yards i am pretty acurrate with mine
I easly sent my first shot over 100 yards

Do you have any other pictures? Do you know what culture used the bow whip? What kind of power does it have?

every thing I find out about it is in 1940's woods craft type books: to make it. book of crafts by Curtis spraque
and natures crafts by Ellsworth Jaeger
i have seen it other books of that era
as for power  when i snap my wrist just right on the realease it seems to hit as hard as say a 45# bow
not as nearlys as acurate but still lot's of fun.
it's a real simple thing it is a switch with a string tied to one end with a knot on thend of the string. and a arrow with a a knotch cut at the balance point the string
almost as simple as the sling. but easier to use
my four year old cant quite sling yet. but he  can sure use the bow whip

Awesome.  Nothing like teaching four year olds the art of war. Grin
