My best friend -my dog
Sep 2nd, 2004, 3:34pm

I have a black great dane. Hes pure breed, and black with white feet and chest.

hes very old 8. That is very very old for a great dane. We go for walks every day and every one knows us....but his hip is starting to go and he cant walk as far.... If i can ever get a pic of him and me ill post it...Ha ha man im going to mis him when he gos. Im shure all of you dog lovers know what im talking about.

any way any one else have a dog? I love dogs, and like i say the great dane is my personal favorite breed. If ever you see me ill have a dane with me or near me.

but do any of you have dogs and of what breed??

wiennedog. his name is odie. He is a good dog. When ever we go hunting and i come home. all i have to do is mention the word deer and he is in a panic. He want to see if we got a deer. He won't stop until i take him out to my truck and put him in the bed so he can make sure there is no deer. He is spoiled rottonen too. He know the words cookie, kitty, go, ice cream, cat, mole, and deer. So you can see that he is spolied.

I was reading about a Roger's Rangers attack on an Abenaki village (might have been Lovewell's rangers... whatever) where the rangers muzzled their dogs and fired into the village, and then took the muzzles off the dogs for them to run down any survivors.

I have a dog(Labrador retriever), cat, and occasional mice(until the cat does 'em in). I once owned a registered Tennessee Walking horse(Cromwell was his name). I loved to ride bareback, holding on to his black mane. It just seemed to strike a primitive cord deep in my soul.......

yes my dog is spoiled rotten too.

he know's cookie, walk, supper, and dog...

and dogs would make verry good weapons too. Ever see a dane? thay would strike feer in the hearts of any one who has never seen one. But if you have ever seen a dane and know something about them then you know there harm less...

my last dog passed away 3 weeks ago... she was a  14 years old chihuahua named Nena, and sure i'll miss her a lot, i buried her near the place i usually go slinging kayaking and other outdoor activities... she's burried with my other last 2 dogs: Rintin a german shepard, and Sweety a chihuahua son of Nena. (sort of a primitive burial place?) i made sound  my bullroarer in their honour... and shed some tears too (sort of a primitive burial rite?)
This weekend i'll go with my wife 350 kms north east to get an 1 year old female geyhound from a dog shelter.
we can't live without a dog.
i love greyhounds, they are used for hare hunting and i read they were used as war dogs as well.
Other dogs along my life: Megan a female doberman, Reinita, an andalusian podenco, Basi a mix of german shepard, and Excalibur, a spanish mastin (mastin extremeño) they all were nice fellows and i still missing them all a lot.

Talking about the dog?  I think I like the weather and scenery better.  The weather here is already very autumnal.

I have section-hiked a lot of the Appalachian trail in the north.  I hope to do the whole trail someday, from Georgia to Maine.  And it's free, the whole 2100 miles (or whatever) of it.

This is Genil River  before it crosses Granada city, this place is 10 minutes driving fom home though is possible to get here just walking ,there are several tracks both sides of the river for about  8 kms from Granada City to Pinos Genil Village, there are several little bridges crossing the river along the tracks and only pedestrians and mountain bikers are allowed. here there are very nice and lonely wild places close to the city
