Hi everyone!
Did anyone hear about that ?
When a slinger killed somebody it was normal to recover the projectile and use it like amulet of good luck
http://www.detectomania.com/foro2/showthread.php?s=50b14cce79a785293c033657a8a4d...
Cuando un hondero mataba a alguien solia recuperar el proyectil y usarlo como amuleto de buena suerte

Yes it is a Balearic slinger. I took it from the game “IMPERIVM II” the Balearic slingers play a very important role at the Iberian troops, they are much better than the roman archery

Are you from Spain?
That is a great website! The uniforms and weapons look good. Also the maps are very well rendered.

Hola braliseiro!! muy interesante el foro de Detectomanía que no conocía. Yo tambien he sido algo adicto al detector hace algun tiempo.
Very interesting the subjet of glandes as good luck amulets .... I didn´t know that and seems to me very surprising because of the difficulty of recovering the glans in the battle... but I have to read those literary references they say in the forum. The people there seems to be very well informed.

He brought a conquering sword..., a shield..., a spear... , a sling from which no erring shot was discharged.&&

What ancient writer wrote that? Livy, Diodorus, Polybius?
Thanks
