My rockchucker

No, no, not that kind of Rockchucker  Roll Eyes  Cheesy

Ok, after seeing all your slings I thought I'd scan mine and throw it up here Smiley Nothing fancy but it works... next step is to make a little fancier, sturdy thing that can ride around in my hip pocket for all those unexpected opportunities to fling things  Wink

It's an oval shaped piece of leather about 7" long, three holes punched in each side, threaded thru with a 42" piece of bootlace.  I tied a knot on one side to hold on to, and a stiff slipknot on the other to slip over the finger. Like I said before it's nothing fancy but it throws a golf ball around 300ft, which is I'm pleased with being a newbie slinger and all....

...

Cheers  Wink

Why, Luke, your sling looks oddly like my RCBS Rockchucker Special 5!  How far does yours throw a projectile?

BTW, I checked out your site.  Nice.  I once had a Savage 111F in 223 Rem.  With unmatched brass it would put a whole magazine into 1/4" or less at 100 yds.  Cold barrel, hot barrel, clean barrel, dirty barrel.  Just plain shot like a house fire.  Loaded for it on my Special 5 to boot.

Oh, yeah.  I like your rudimentary  sling also!

OT: A lot of people bash them, but Savage rifles sure can shoot ... My 10FLP/.308 holds average of .4 MOA out to 1000yds. with Federal Gold Medal brass, Federal Match primers, Varget, and 175gr. Sierra Matchkings.

...

This is what I use when the sling doesn't quite have the range or power that I need  Wink Only problem is you can't carry it around in your pocket like the sling  Roll Eyes
