I think from 2012, war btw Masai and Kalenjin, fought with bows and arrows, and the occasional sling

Interesting. We knew about it's use in Ethiopia, make sense they have it in Kenya too. Thanks for the link.

I would love to know more about the slings use in Africa. From my limited knowledge, there are a lot of herding cultures that a sling would be useful for. It was really interesting to see African slings in the Pitt Rivers Museum but there was almost no information on them. Really interesting designs and some were very elaborate.

Here is a thread i inquired about back in 2016, on traditional african sling..i did try to replicate it, it didnt turn out very well.
