Running low on b50 for making bow strings. Been trying to order some for a week now. Today I finally see that Brownell (the outfit that makes b50) has gone out of biz :(

Give B55 a try. It's similar, but a little less stretch. You can find it lots of places if you run a search for 'BCY B55'. This is just one example: https://www.kustomkingarchery.com/BCY-B55-String-Material/productinfo/3204/

yeah, I know about b55. Ordered some yesterday. It's just that I am used to b50 and can easily make it work for me on bows 40 to 50 lbs. Nother learning curve. Also got some good hemp fiber, but don' know how to make a rolag - yet.

I have seen good reviews on that stuff. When I finally get back into bow making (I did finally get my work bench cleared off, so hopefully in a month or so) maybe I'll give it a try.
