So lets see how to introduce myself. When I was a kid I hated Sunday school until the teacher told the story of David and Goliath. I went home and my dad helped me cut up one of his old leather work boots to make a sling. Well I did just what the Sunday school teacher said and you know what happened. Yep, the rock went everywhere but to the target. I put the sling away until I was 11 years old. I spent my free time slinging stone until I could hit my target almost every time (a 50 gal drum out to about 25-30 yards). So now I'm old and my back a shoulders hurt and I just completed braiding a sling. I hope I can make it work for me. When I was younger I wanted to go to one of the slinging competitions across the pond; however, that did not work out but I did organized a few slinging competition with youth groups. A couple of them got pretty good too!
