wow! I like the simplicity of the device.
though it seems a little difficult to balance it on it's tip and in the end you need a platform for it to land.
P.S.: i didn't find it, have they measured efficiency or compared it to other trebuchet designs?

That design is pretty neat.  I could see it being more efficient with a comparably sized normal trebuchet because the weight is falling from a higher point.  I'm also curious about reloading time.  Because it needs to be balanced up in the air, I wonder if reloading time and stability aren't as good as a normal setup.
